Mr. Kounoupis graduated from Lehigh University (BA 1984) and the Temple University School of Law (JD, 1987 and top 12% in the class). He is also on the dean’s list. He participated in the Jessup Moot Court competition.
He is associated with the Who's Who Among Practicing Attorneys. He is also mentioned in Top Lawyers in America, Outstanding Young Men of America, 1987 and Who's Who in Business and Insurance Counsel.
He is also a contributing author of the Temple Law Review "A Summary of Pennsylvania Law of Legal Malpractice".

In 2008, Mr. Kounoupis was named a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America. The Litigation Counsel of America is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than half of one percent of American Lawyers.
